1) Message boards : Problems : Never able to accept friendship requests (Message 1562) Posted 8 Aug 2023 by Doobleshaft Post: I've found today a friendship request (the most recent of many) from Milkyway@Home. I didn't have an account but tried to fix that by registering and log in to the account but all the data and work done for Milkyway@Home is via Science United and I've been told (as I expected) that I must access the friendship request via Science United. This is not possible though as when I click on the link to read it, I'm taken to a Milkyway@home login and we start the circle again... Previously I've never been able to accept any friendship requests as either I could not logon, could not get a password reset (told the email does not exist) and then try to create a new account and I'm told that an account exists. It's all so weird but what is the point in having this feature if I can't use it? Does it bother me to be unable to accept friendship requests? No, it does not but can someone give any guidance into how I get this working or can it be fixed somehow? I had wondered if the BOINC link was unable to detect that it needed to go to the Science United page. Either way though, no idea how to fix this.
