I have recently joined Science United as a cpu contributor. I am very happy to donate spare cpu time to this very worthy cause. Like a lot of us I suspect, I am particularly interested in seeing a Covid-19 vaccine being developed in the shortest possible time and made universally available.

However, I note that in recent times the president of the USA and his administration have seeming politicised the process and are now talking about "America First" and operation "Warp Speed" that essentially quarantine american research efforts to benefit the USA only. As an Australian and international person, I cannot possibly condone or support this narrow, bigoted, short-sighted attitude towards scientific development.

I understand that some (or perhaps all) of the funding for Science United derives from the US National Science Foundation, award #1664190, and is based at the University of California, Berkeley.

Accordingly, I would very much like to hear from the administrators of the Science United program that this very important project is not being compromised by this "policy" setting of the Trump administration. Can you please advise accordingly?

Thank you for your time.
