Science United and COVID-19

Posted 29 Mar 2020 by MadPet Post: We have increased the allotment of Rosetta@home so that it will get most of the CPU power of Science United. I apologize if this is a stupid question, but what allotment are you talking about? Is this to be understood as that there is another laying of priority underneath what the user sets in su_prefs.php , so for example, if su_prefs.php equally prioritizes the science area of Rosetta@home AND a bunch of other things, then priority will at the moment be given to Rosetta@home? I assume if the su_prefs.php prioritizes another science area as Priority 1 and the science area of Rosetta@home as Priority 2, then this new change will not have any effect, except for if there is so little work to be done in Priority 1 projects that the client goes to look for Priority 2 projects? I'm a bit confused about how all the levels of project prioritization fit together. |
