I have installed podman per the installation instructions on my computer but it does not show up on Science United.

I even uninstalled podman while BOINC was shutdown and went through the install procedures again with no luck.

I added BOINC to my wife's computer yesterday and podman shows up.

I finally figured it out and am posting the details:

Running the command 'podman run hello-world' resulted in a setgid error.

Looking at the /etc/subgid file showed that both boinc and myself had multiple lines.

I used 'usermod del-subgids' to remove all of the lines for both users and then re-ran the commands to set up the correct subgids.

Hope this might help someone else.
