Hi @ All,

who can create a step-by-step manual for me to install and run scienceunited calc with bionic software under debian linux cli?

Struggling with the same thing. Were you able to run it?

I installed the packages 2 weeks ago so I do not at all remember the steps I followed for that. Was very busy in the meantime so I did not get a chance to finish the setup. I know that I had enabled the boinc client to run automatically so make sure that the service is started before continuing. Please bear in mind that I am a complete noob when it comes to Debian as I have just setup my first server.

After installing the packages and starting the service, I ran the following commands:

cd /etc/boinc-client
boinccmd --acct_mgr attach https://scienceunited.org/ [user email] [password]
boinccmd --get_project_status

This was enough to get the projects running. Without further configuration, it was necessary to move to the correct configuration with cd before attaching the account. The last line is just to check if projects have been assigned. Projects started being assigned and downloaded automatically for me.

I found https://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/client_configuration and https://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Boinccmd_tool to be useful resources.
