I have not yet successfully computed a GPU task for any project (so far Asteroids@home, Numberfields@home, and SRBase have all failed). For Numberfields@home and SRBase, the BOINC event log reads "output file [...] for task [...] absent." For Asteroids@home, there is no error in the event log. It just says the computation finished, even though there was clearly a computation error.

I am on a fresh and up to date install of Ubuntu 23.10, using the boinc-virtualbox package. OpenCL was not working by default, but after installing mesa-opencl-icd, BOINC seemed to recognize my GPU. I just haven't been able to get any tasks to run. Any troubleshooting tips would be very welcome.

To anyone interested, I was able to resolve this using ubuntu 22.04 and ROCm drivers.
