Notice from Milkyway@home:
Milkyway@home: Notice from BOINC
This project seems to have changed its URL. When convenient, remove the project, then add http://milkyway-new.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/

However, there doesn't seem to be a way for me to update the URL anywhere. Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same problem.
Another person and I reported it to the SU developer on Github.
The Developer is already in the process of trying to contact the Milkyway project lead.

This removes the old Milkyway but, until Science United adds the correct URL pointing to the new Milkyway, you have to add the new Milkyway manually in BOINC Manager.
1. I logged on to my Science United Project Manager Account
2. click your account name
3. click View - science projects
4. click Milkyway
5. click Exclude - wait about 5 minutes - in the Science United Project list , at the end of the Milkyway entry should be the words 'yes;excluded'
6. open BOINC Manager to the projects list - Tools - Synchronize with project manager. Old Milkyway should disappear.
7. Manually add new Milkyway - Tools - add project - http://milkyway-new.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/ - sign in as existing user.
8. In the BOINC Noticeboard you should get the new message
Milkyway@home: Migrating MilkyWay@home to a New Server
Hello everyone,
We are preparing to migrate MilkyWay@home to a new server on 1 November 2023 at 2 pm UTC.
9. I suspect, when Science United put the correct URL in the Project List, we may need to change Milkyway status to 'Include'
Cheers[/list]

Anyone knows how to get rid of the tasks that are aborted, but still are in the list because the project URL is invalid (communication deferred....)

It is an infinite loop until the URI has been changed here by staff... are they reading this message board?

Same issue. I think they have changed over the server now and the URL looks like it's the old one again but it's still not connecting or using Milkyway. It's a shame.
