Hello!

TLDR: I want to make a custom script to change project priority based on some rule and what some competent person/system decide is more worthy (that system being science united).

I’ve finally got remembered that BOINC existed and should be a good way to avoid the stress of having an IDLE CPU in a server I pay over time used. (and took the ocasion to put it on my other devices). I however decided that a more traditional account management system was more appropriate for me (BoincAccountManager), but I would still like to have a good way to decide which project to run on which machine, taking into specification the specificity of each of them.

For example:
The server in question doesn’t much storage. Avoid having multiple project, in particular those with VMs (I put Asteroids@home). Also, LODA always fail (which was the original plan).
My home computer is also somewhat space constrained but not as much as the server. It also can’t run LODA (same NixOS as the server). I also noticed something intersting: LHC@home consumed all the space, leaving seemingly no space for World Community Grid to download their tasks, despite being the highest share.
I also tried to put it on my phone. I’ll see what that give.

Those three devices have some important tweaks for each of them. But I like the concept of a competent someone (or group of person) to decide what task should be focused on. I could try to experiment with a script that automatically change ressource share based on some rule, but for that, I need to first have a list of priority.

(for now, the priority I put is around 300 for WCG, 200 for LHC@HOME, 100 for Asteroids@Home and 80 for LODA, at least if it could run on one of my device)

Thanks, Marius.
