Up to now, BOINC does not support Apple processors natively, but runs in the x86 emulation. This gives away a lot of computing power. I have a Mac Studio and would like to contribute more computing power to the projects. |

Unfortunately BOINC is still using Intel emulation and Rosetta 2 is now deprecated (https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2025/06/apple-details-the-end-of-intel-mac-support-and-a-phaseout-for-rosetta-2/). Does anyone know if there's any plans to get BOINC running natively on Apple Silicon? |
