Dear Science United Members,

One of the projects my computer is working on (MLC@Home) sent me a private message. When I use my Science United e-mail address, it says there's no account linked to this address. When I create a new account, the private message cannot be seen. Science United itself reports I have no private message. Is there any way to retrieve the username from the project, so I can still see this private message?

I'm having the same issue with Amicable Numbers. My BOINC Manager Notices says I have a Private Message from Amicable Numbers, but Amicable Numbers doesn't recognize my email address. I tried logging in using the Authenticator ID, but the Amicable Numbers website isn't recognizing it either.

Any help or explanation is appreciated.

It is not my impression that any of the "private messages" are directed to individual users.

When I first joined Science United, I received (and still receive) private message notifications from various projects. When I created an account and logged into the project web site, I saw nothing. Since Science United puts volunteers into (large) computing pools, I've concluded that the messages are actually for the Science United project pool manager's account, not the volunteers. I ignore the notices.

Arrived here because of a private message from MLC@home and trying to Google how to read it, and ended up here.
So, no solution other than to ignore the notice?
