Hello, I was wondering if it would be possible in the future to give an option to disabling GPU computing. I am running BOINC on a laptop and if I get workloads that are GPU plus CPU then I am afraid of overheating it. I am using Tthrottle to help reduce temperature, but the problem is that if I use that then the compute time on both CPU and GPU become very slow and thus takes longer to complete both. Thank you |

Hello vlado101, If you 're using BOINC Manager you can go in "Advanced View", then "Activity" and then "Suspend GPU". Hope that helps. |

If i remember correctly, when you install BOINC it asks you to choose if you want to install it as a service and if you choose yes it says that you will not be assigned any GPU jobs. |

The problem with "Suspend GPU" is that I still get GPU jobs; they just never start. I can abort the jobs, but more GPU jobs pop up in their place. |
