Hello,

I really have a problem with LHC@Home, it' uses virtualbox and it's working BUT:
Each unit is using 1 thread and requires nearly 10 days to complete (and lot of disk space), so nearly all results I return are out of date.
This Science United account is not linked to LHC@home, I cannot connect to their forum to say them to increase the time allowed by a factor of 2.
I am on Linux Gentoo with a Ryzen 3700X and 32GB memory, so if I can't complete works in time, who can?

Thanks to pass the message to LHC@home.

Wich LHC@home project are you referring? Atlas, Theory, CMS, Six Track?

I consistently see this with ATLAS.

An Atlas task takes about 3 hours and 14 minutes on 2 CPUs of my HP Pavilion desktop with a i5 CPU and 12 GB RAM.

I have to add a +1 here:

I think I'll abort them. Maybe this sends a message to the server...

EDIT:
It looks like time is poorly calculated, two of them just finished, and one has already been uploaded. I have to check if they counted as unsuccessful jobs:

PS: The time needed for the other one, has even increased

EDIT2:

King of unsuccessful jobs 99 fails vs 34 succeeded
