I have read that SU randomizes project accounts and therefore users who contribute computing power and time do not receive "credit" for work they have done. I have two questions regarding this: 1. Why then, would anyone choose to use SU vs. attaching to projects directly? 2. How is it that I am receiving BOINC notices from specific projects? - This is interesting to me if accounts are in fact randomized; when I click on "more..." to get more information I am taken to the projects' site but cannot log in |

I have shifted most of my work to SU because I no longer want to take part in this farce of credits which vary from one project to another. Look at the list of Top100 users published by David Anderson. Tullio |

tullio, I can find no such post; and I am one that appreciates credit for the work my machines have done. The argument that credit systems vary from one project to another is moot, as everyone participating in the project is under the same system. |

Go to the BOINC home page and see the post by Dave. Most of the 100 Top users run Collatz. Tullio |

I was wondering for a few days before coming into forum. Looks like my question puzzles some other people too. So what should we do to get unified stats across all projects? Dump science united and create specific accouts on each project? Ive tried that but it seems SU (science united) account overwrites on BOINC client app so i should release it. But i'd like to see them here on SU, what should i do? I cant find anywhere a way to link project accounts to SU. Thanks! |
