I'd never used an account manager, so was a little apprehensive, but went forward and joined. I did not expect to be leaving so quickly, but my observations prompt immediate withdrawl. I found Seti had downloaded a lot of workunits and they were running. This is not normal, seti has the same priority as numerous other projects on here. Looking at the Projects tab, Seti no longer has my account name, but Science United. I was to post on the Seti forum, but no longer have enough credit so to do. Andersons reputation has taken a big hit there.

The arrogance of this "project" and the people running it is stunning! "We'll decide what your computer works on, not you." I started running SETI so long ago, I can't remember when it began. Many years ago, I dedicated my computers to cancer research. I'm not the least bit interested in my computer being used for something else. I have always used BOINC and WCG. I don't remember how I stumbled into getting SU on my computer. I do know that ever since it appeared, my computer freezes up if I leave it alone for awhile. The mouse will jump around but I have to pull the plug to get control of the pc again! I have been reading about problems getting out of SU. I'm trying it now and hope I don't have to reinstall the OS to fix it.

How did it go? You should be able to click "Stop using Science United" in the Tools menu of BOINC Manager" to do the job.
