Bonic Manager - Science United - Imac HIGH fan speeds

cliffrl Send message Joined: 21 May 18 Posts: 1	Message 274 - Posted: 31 Oct 2019, 16:07:33 UTC I'm running Catalina on an iMac and have been using World Community Grid and Bonic for almost 15 years and I just signed in with Science United. I'm actually clueless about what all three groups do? I just let them use my system hoping they are not working on a sinister plot to take over the world My question is when I come back to my computer my fan seems to be running very fast. I have done the usual unplugging the system, then waiting for the set number of seconds to pass, standing on my head, then plugging back in the system while waiting for the required number of seconds. That was no help so I did the required holding down the 37 keys on a cold boot and making sure I kept my eyes closed. Alas, that failed also. Does anyone have an idea why my fans are running so fast?
