BOINC on a MACBOOK

Description

I am trying to leverage BOINC on my new Apple MacBook?. I learned about CUDA from http://boinc.berkeley.edu/ and I have successfully loaded CUDA. I suggest that I have successfully loaded CUDA, because I am able to run the deviceQuery demo and all of the other demos in the /Developer/CUDA/bin/darwin/release directory.

My issue appears to be with the BOINC application. When it starts up I check the Message tab and see the following:

I would appreciate any assistance or suggestions.

I should also note that I am new to the MACBOOK so I am very inexperienced with the MACOS.

Thx!

BOINC doesn't yet support CUDA on Mac.

Trac is to report bugs, it's not the place to ask for "assistance or suggestions". Use the forum for that.

Replying to Nicolas:

BOINC doesn't yet support CUDA on Mac.

Ah, but it does. CUDA support is built into BOINC no matter what platform. It's just that the driver that enables CUDA on the Mac isn't available yet. If it ever comes.

I apologize for the post. I did not know. I appreciate the feedback though.

Which, from a practical standpoint, means CUDA on BOINC on Mac doesn't work. It doesn't matter who's fault it is :)

Yes, but there's a big difference between not being supported and not working, for when a CUDA driver becomes available for the Mac, it'll work immediately with all BOINC versions since 6.6.0 without Charlie needing to quickly add the needed support.
