Ability to Throttle or Stop GPU seperate from other Cores

When trying to use my computer while BIONIC is running, video is very laggy and glitchy,

Manually and additional option in the right click menu of the BIONIC client icon for the task tray that would suspend just the GPU core, as use of the CPU processors does not as drastically effect operation of the computer.

Automatic modes- Maybe a "use GPU only when computer is idle" setting? Maybe "Use GPU when screen saver is active only" Mode?

I am not sure about the GPU programming package but if there is a way to tell if the monitor is off (powered off or in sleep mode) and use that to control the GPU portion of the client. Having a few seconds longer wake up time is acceptable, but trying to use the computer I currently have to suspend operation of BIONIC client to allow "normal" computer functions to take place.

Er, I misread the wording of the setting. I mean it defaults to processing only when idle.

As Nicolas said, the option "Use GPU while computer is in use" already exists, in the BOINC 6.6.20 (and above) BOINC Manager -> Advanced view -> Advanced -> Preferences -> Processor Usage option. It defaults to OFF.

The option "Suspend GPU work while computer is in use?" is available through the web site preferences and defaults to ON.
