Comments: Posted by: bjorn Date: 11:26 PM 03-29-2006 The server suddenly sent out some WU's with zero bytes size today, and when BOINC Mgr tries to calculate the "progress" it gets garbled. I'm uncertain if this is a result of a divide by sero error or an uninitialized field, so I'm proposing a medium prority in case it may affect program stability. See attachment for more details. BTW, just a sigh from the heart (not a bug report or wish): It's unlogical that a WU which isn't downloaded or uploaded yet should yield a progress of 100%. Nor does it look Ok to display transfer amount before anything is transferring. This information is only valid during and after a transfer, to show progress in bytes and the total that was transferred after it's complete. One more thing: I see results being uploaded with more than 100% constantly. 106% is not unusual. But totally illogical... I suggest you re-think the whole transfer display all over again. |

Comments: Posted by: rossi andrea Date: 6:58 PM 05-27-2006 if in your workstation there are more than 1 user active and you have installed the program with the single user installation metod boinc can't connect to localhost (so do not work). how is possible to reproduce the error? 1) create 2 user under windows (say user A and user B) 2)install boinc how user A and rebot 3)log in how user B 4) change the user from user B to user A (DO NOT DISCONECT USER B) 5)lanch boinc how user A 6) boinc can not connect to localhost! and dont do any work! i know that if i run boinc how user A when (or after than) no other user are connect the program work perfectly, so this is not a problem for my, but i think that in some net enviroment this shuld be a big problem. system information: windows xp service pack 2 pentium 4 3 ghz ht 1 gb of ram |

Comments: Posted by: rebirther Date: 3:47 PM 06-16-2006 In options: connections=default (my provider) Still missing the options from 5.2.13 So if no internet connection is available boinc wont connecting to the internet (ul/dl/manual update nothing worked). Boinc messages gave me a http error. |
