Description
When I saw a new version was available at boinc.berkeley.edu, I downloaded it. I closed my application.
Click Install to being Installation -> Install -> The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable disk that is not available. Insert the "World Community Grid - BOINC Agent" disk and click okay.
Cancel -> Error 1706.No valid source could be found the for the product World Community Grid - BOINC Agent. The Windows Installer cannot continue.
Add or Remove Programs -> World Community Grid - BOINC Agent -> The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable disk that is not available. Insert the "World Community Grid - BOINC Agent" disk and click okay.
Cancel -> Error 1706.No valid source could be found the for the product World Community Grid - BOINC Agent. The Windows Installer cannot continue.
I ran the Windows Installer Cleanup -> World Community Grid - BOINC Agent [5.10.45] -> Remove -> Exit -> Reboot. As far as I can tell the Windows Installer Cleanup did absolutely nothing. When I hit Remove, it is still available for me to remove. The icon did not come up as BOINC.msi or a corrupt icon.msi.
Upon attempting to install a new or old version, the same thing happens. I am currently unable to run BOINC.
I am running Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 3.

Trac is to report bugs; please don't use it to ask questions. As a general guideline, if you don't have steps I could use to reproduce the same problem on my computer, it's not quite a bug report.
Use the forums instead. As a favour, I have already posted your question there:
