Bionic used with Zone Alarm

Description
Only when Bionic is loaded does Zone Alarm Pro's tray icon show constant activity. As opposed to the "Z" icon indicating no activity the green bars pulse all the way to the top and the red bars simultaneously pulse two units up. This appears to be attempts to access my computer. Could you please tell me why?

The BOINC Manager constantly talks to the BOINC core client using a "network" connection that never goes out of your computer.
