Hi,

Recently Thibaut VARENE did an analysis of the change in /proc/cpuinfo on powerpc in the upcoming Linux kernel 2.6.23. He also provided a patch how to deal with this change. For more details please see ​http://bugs.debian.org/437459 and consider applying the patch contained in the bug report.
