Manager crashes when aborting task with downloads

Description
I used to (I think) be able to abort a task that was having download issues through the task tab and have the downloads abort as well.
With 5.10.20/Vista, if you do that, the manager hangs for several minutes and then loses its communication link with the daemon.
During this, the daemon and science applications appear to be ok (via task manager).
Upon reestablishing communications between the daemon and manager, the result is listed as either download error or client error (I can't recall which) but the transfers are still counting down from their backoffs. Each one has to be aborted individually.
sterrdae.txt, which I've attached, shows a stack dump.

That second file is misnamed. It's stderrgui.txt in reality.
Sorry

I can't reproduce this in the trunk.
It looks similar to the client crash other people have seen; Rom suspects the problem is in libcurl, and is going to revert to an older version of that.
