I have had a Seti@Home account for a few years. I had to recently wipe my computer clean, and reload all software. Now when I try to reload Boinc, it does not recognize my username. I had to create a new account so I could create this ticket. I do not wish to lose my history with Seti@Home. I sincerely hope that someone can help me re-establish contact with my account. This is not exactly what Trac is for, but OK.

Go to http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/get_passwd.php and fill in the email address with which you registered at Seti. You'll get sent a 32 character account key. Use that account key, to log in at Seti, go to your account, change your password and any other data you may need.

By the way, you fill in your email address and password, not your account name. Only email addresses are unique enough to be used to log in with.

As for needing to register here, that's normal. This site has nothing to do with Seti.

I'll lock this ticket as a wontfix, as there is nothing to fix. Next time post on the BOINC forums if you need help. Those also need registration.
