I believe this has been fixed by [13263] (the messages on startup).

I think a) this bug (as shown in the screenshot) has nothing to do with the quoted messages, and b) the real cause is a broken GTK.

Anyway, without further information it doesn't look like a BOINC bug.

3 months with no further information - I think this can be closed now, for the reasons in Nicholas' and my comments above.
