Description
Win2003/64, 64-bit BOINC-client: If you enables mem_usage_debug, you'll quickly see the reported memory has little to do with reality, example: 2007-05-30 03:31:40 [SETI@home] [mem_usage_debug] 09ja05aa.15724.15088.228398.3.128_2: RAM 0.04MB, page 0.01MB, 0.00 page faults/sec, user CPU 196.094, kernel CPU 0.063 2007-05-30 03:31:40 [SETI@home] [mem_usage_debug] 09ja05aa.15724.15088.228398.3.190_1: RAM 0.02MB, page 0.01MB, 0.00 page faults/sec, user CPU 97.875, kernel CPU 0.063
With SETI@home this isn't really a big problem, but atleast with Seasonal Attribution, the reported memory-usage is slowly increasing. Meaning, after some hours, you'll reach memory-limit, and gets a "job using too much memory, will preempt by quit".
Didn't get the same effect with BBC/CPDN, so possibly the memory-"leak" is only with Seasonal Attribution.
