WCG attach fails when dot "." in user name

Description

I can attach my accounts "joachimfritzsch" and "joachimfritzschfritzsch" but "j.fritzsch" and "joachim.fritzsch fail with boinc error code "-136: ERR_DB_NOT_FOUND".

The produced GUI RPC request seems correct: <lookup_account> <url>​http://worldcommunitygrid.org/</url> <email_addr>joachim.fritzsch</email_addr> <passwd_hash>50bfb8b9bb6284acc35e1763cd677d3e</passwd_hash> </lookup_account>

David suggested setting <gui_rpc_debug> in cc_config.xml to examine request client sends to server.
