Confused about "https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/bugtrackers/boinc-bugs" - what is it good for?

Description

The website

seems to be some kind of relic... shouldn't that be cleaned up?

As you can clearly see on the page you linked to, it is not an official bug tracker of the BOINC project. This launchpad bug tracker is used for the package maintainers of Debian and Ubuntu to address bugs that are related to the BOINC packages provided by those distributions.

Seriously, it is not at all clear that this is for specialization problems of BOINC for Debian/Ubuntu?.

"Summary: Trac based bug tracker for bugs in BOINC."

"Contact person: BOINC project director is Dr. David P. Anderson <davea AT ssl DOT berkeley DOT edu>"

... at Launchpad ("Free open source project hosting"), which is pretty generic.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
