More than one scheduler (default, alternate, beta) :

I am only labelling this as a defect as the client scheduler has been rewritten so many times that it has become inevitable that some new mechanism will be needed to manage it.

I hate to add complexity to the BOINC client, but I see no choice here.

Behaviour

Client scheduler default : Default

There should be a reset to Default option for this in the user interface on the client.

Client alternate scheduler : Generally the previous version of the BOINC scheduler.

Client beta scheduler : A beta test version for a future scheduler.

Moving to the beta scheduler should invoke an error message asking if the user is certain they want to do so.

In general, a given BOINC client has only one set of scheduling policies. To get the development scheduler, you can always run the development client.
