#361 | worksforme | Linux hostname is always localhost.localdomain
Description |
Both in client_state.xml and on any project we connect to with (at least) a 5.10 client, the computername is always shown as localhost.localdomain, never as the hostname of the computer. When I open a terminal window and do hostname -a it shows my hostname correctly. Not with BOINC though. I understand from Rom that BOINC calls a POSIXs api to get the local computer name, but that doesn't seem to work. Can't BOINC just read /etc/hostname ? Or use gethostname (see also gethostname(2) ? |

#381 | worksforme | Weird transfer speeds reported by Boinc 5.10.20
Description |
Since the installation of Win Boinc 5.10.20 (over previous 5.10.13), I can sometimes see weird huge file transfer speeds, in "both" BoincManager, BoincView and BoincCmd? (thus probably reported by client). Occasionally some of the speeds are shown this way and eventually they get in few seconds corrected to some meaningful value: BoincManager (whole line): SETI@home 0.00% 0.00/366.32 KB 00:01:13 460249421259946040000000000000000000000... #394 | worksforme | Quote marks escaped after PM preview
Description |
After reviewing a PM, single and double quotes are escaped in the text. The preview is correct. But if you preview again, the slashes are in your message. So you need to remove the slashes before sending the message. Found on Seti and confirmed on test forums. |
