I find I have to manually review each BOINC machine weekly to abort any task that will not complete by or is beyond the deadline [BOINC manages my tasks, I do not curently edit switches or request additional work in cache]. I would ask a switch that would allow a user to choose to have the BOINC manager automatically abort an unstarted task if insufficient time remains or it is already beyond the deadline.
