7  * The BOINC Manager offers two different interfaces:  'Simple' (small, graphical, skinnable)  and 'Advanced' (maximum information).  The Simple GUI allows local editing of preferences.  You can switch back and forth between Simple and Advanced.
8  * CPU throttling: you can reduce CPU heat by limiting  the fraction of time that BOINC computes.
9  * Improved scheduling policies avoid missing job deadlines  even on a slow computer with lots of projects.
10  * You can limit the amount of memory used by BOINC;  this lets you compute all the time without losing performance.
11  * Mac OS X version runs applications in an unpriviledged account,  increasing security.
12  * Snooze button (in the system tray icon) lets you  stop computing for one hour.
7 * Grid-based views: column sorting, progress bars, line shading.
8 * Prepopulated project list within the attach to project wizard.
     9 * Advanced preferences dialog.
     10 * Day-of-week preference enforcement.
11 * Security improvements for corporations.
     12 * Updated libCurl to 7.16.4, and OpenSSL 0.5.8e.
