#15 invalid Affinity set wrong davea Ageless
Description

Version 4.25

Posted by: webmaster Date: 5:58 PM 03-09-2005 When i looked in the taskmanager 5 minutes ago, i saw that the affinity was set wrong for my HT machine. Both seti@home apps where running on cpu 0. I've now manually set one to 1 and the cpu started to work @ 100% again

Posted by: rwalton Date: 12:26 AM 03-10-2005 Currently the client leaves the process scheduling to the OS, at some point in time in the future we'll implement CPU affinity.

Posted by: webmaster Date: 5:57 AM 03-10-2005 But the strange thing is that it always did it right. And now suddenly it's only using half my cpu?

It does it every time from now. I'm now running on 1 thread with seti classic next to it :p

#16 wontfix Cannot start Service with blank password romw Ageless
Description

Version 4.26

Posted by: link Date: 10:03 PM 03-10-2005 If the user logon has a password of <NULL> then the installer cannot add the service for that user, or more importantly start the service.

Applies even if the user has Admin rights on the machine.

Posted by: link Date: 10:06 PM 03-10-2005 I'm not sure that anything can be done about this. Changing Log-On to Local System Account gets around this.

Posted by: leec100 Date: 2:06 AM 04-23-2006 Surely configuring the service to use the local system account by default (when BOINC is installed) will solve this problem, and will enable the graphics by default
