1) Message boards : Problems : Boinc on Mint Linux (Message 576) Posted 2 Sep 2020 by Nu2This Post: Download the latest version from from https://boinc.berkeley.edu/download.php Open up a terminal and then cd to the directory you downloaded the file. chmod +x boinc_7.x Then sudo ./boinc_7.x.sh This should install the latest version of boinc on your system. The reason you are getting that message is because you are not using the latest version and whoever maintains the package has not updated it for one reason or another. You can either install it manually or you can wait until they update the package

You can change an area to 'Never' but you do not have the ability to turn off work units by project. Someone can correct me if I am wrong but I believe this is by design to help keep it as simple as possible. If you want more granularity you will want to look into another manager.

Is there a way to have Science United put more of a preference on these work units? Would turning down the task switching time have any effect? These tasks have been sitting at about 3 days of run time for the past couple of weeks with no change in their work status. Thank you!
