I'd also love to only get projects added that have native Apple Silicon support on my base M4 Mac MIni, or the option to select native or Rosetta 2 projects only.

Sort of, running BOINC on my base M4 Mac Mini doesn't use enough power to affect room temperature. And for my desktop Windows PC, I use it instead of electric heating, and during summer, I just have the Window open and a table fan running.

But I still live at home, so my parents are paying for the extra power, they just think I'm gaming on my PC like my kid brother :)

Not sure, but some individual projects have donation pages, these 3 even have specific goals with progress bars:

https://www.rnaworld.de/rnaworld/donations.php

https://www.primegrid.com/donations.php

4) Message boards : Questions : nVidia Quadro vs RTX GPU's

I asked Google's Gemini chatbot, and here's the summary I got:

"In summary, for BOINC, NVIDIA RTX GPUs are almost always the better choice in terms of both raw performance and, crucially, performance per dollar. The Quadro line is a specialized product for professional applications where certification, stability, and specific workstation features are paramount, rather than raw computational throughput per dollar for distributed computing. If your primary goal is to maximize your contribution to BOINC projects efficiently, an RTX card will give you more computing power for your money."
5) Message boards : Questions : I keep getting "Your computers haven't reported work in the last 7 days."

Try reinstalling BOINC, check your Science United project and locations account settings, or add the projects manually from the BOINC manager project list, instead of using Science United.

Then it should be removed from the BOINC manager project list, so people don't waste time trying to make something that's not supposed to work.

Not a solution to your issue, but I would just add the project manually from the BOINC manager project list.

What projects settings do you have, interms of "prefer", "as needed" and "never"?
9) Message boards : Problems : "As needed" option not working properly - chooses projects with no current WU's

Even if this is by design, the current way the "as needed" option work, if you set all locations and projects to "as needed" in your account settings, it doesn't work properly.

I did this, and got BOINC Central and Denis@Home, both of which didn't have any WU's currently available.

And then hit the Syncronize button, and got PrimeGrid, which of course always have WU's available.

But still, why does the account manager behave liked this?

When clicking the big green "join science united" button on the home page, it doesn't work, saying the site doesn't exist.

Please fix this :)
